Larry Winger writes to tell us about this effervescent (that’s fizzing to you and me) concert musical that’s premiering (that’s like, world premiere) at the Cat Strand in New Galloway on the 1st and 2nd of November.
Five members of the SongWave Choir are singing in this musical event at the CatStrand, which will also feature 7 soloists, Geoff Davidson’s Yamaha orchestra. and a background of images and surtitles that will carry the narrative along. The concerts promise to be an energising experience, and what’s particularly unique about this event is that it’s entirely home-grown, right here in the Glenkens of Dumfries and Galloway.
The serendipity that brought a writer next door to a composer along the High Street in New Galloway seems like a wonderful moment of synchronicity, but these things do happen, and so the moment has been seized, or carpe diem as we might say.
